Sharing the gospel is crucial to growing closer to the Lord. Albeit, many of us, including myself, may feel a bit anxious about the idea of speaking to somebody with whom we have not associated with. As Romans 1:16–17 states, Christians should not be ashamed of the gospel. What are some ways you can share the gospel? Are there any books in the Bible that could help out? What if I'm a new believer? Great question, In my personal experience, here is a book in the Bible that helped me tremendously. Afterward, I'll recommend a tool that any believer can use. (Gospel tracts)
The Book of Acts: The book of Acts is a phenomenal example of what sharing the gospel is. From Saul's conversion to Paul's conversation with King Agrippa, the book of Acts gives solid insight into Paul's life and his testimony of preaching the gospel, but it also gives the saddening truth that many rejected it. (Acts 26:27-29)
As somebody who wants to further share the word of Christ, I believe Acts is a must-read for all believers.
What are gospel tracts?
In short, gospel tracts are a great tool; they are usually in an index card format (which could be bigger or smaller) and are very versatile and easy to hand out. These can include a verse, a link to a website, or a short message about the Bible.
As I mentioned before, any Christian can hand out these gospel tracts, and it's an effective way to spread the word of God. However, as Christians, we shouldn't only resort to gospel tracts if we're having a personal conversation with a non-believer. It's much better to build a personal connection with that person and tell them the word of Christ, trust me the holy spirit will work in you.
To conclude,
Sharing the gospel is a great way to grow spiritually. While you may still be anxious, remember that it's not your job to convert somebody but rather to plant seeds. Some people will harden their hearts; that's the sad truth, but many will be open to knowing more about God. That is why I want to fight the good fight like Paul, Steven, Peter, and many more who walked with God and preached the gospel when given the opportunity. So with tools like gospel tracts and books of wisdom and encouragement like Acts, Ephesians, Philemon, etc. Go out and share the gospel, plant seeds, and allow God to work in you.
Feel free to ask any questions, as I would love to respond and give verses, and personal experiences.
Thank you, God Bless, and have the best of Days.
