Could I Have Done Better?

I probably could have done something different when my friends and I started Brave the Battle. I could have shared it with more people. I could have been more confident when telling people about it. I could have designed the website better; I could have spent more time on the articles. Even as I'm looking through everything I've chosen to do, I doubt everything.

Maybe you are in a busy season of life, and you aren't able to get into the word as often as you'd like. You try and read just a few verses each day, but you don't feel like you are doing enough. From these articles and emails, week after week, you might feel the pressure of needing to share the gospel. But there is just so much that you need to do in this crazy season of life, you're stressed out just by reading the articles.

Every season of life is different, and God calls us to different things depending on the season. Are you questioning yourself and wondering if you could have done more? There are seasons of life where you can strive to further the kingdom, but there are also seasons in your life when all you need is to be faithful in the little things.

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

"One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much." Luke 16:10

God calls us to be faithful in the small things, which might mean reading those couple Bible verses and meditating on them throughout the day and praying to God whenever you have a moment. Or while you're busy and running around on errands, take the moment you would spend in silence next to a stranger and ask how they are doing. Show them in those few seconds how you care.

I just graduated high school this week, and things have been wild. There have been so many opportunities and doors opened that I could go through, but I just haven't had enough time. There is just not enough time in the day to do everything or complete everything I'd want to do.

It is easy to forget while I'm lying in bed at night that as long as I am doing everything for the glory of God, that is enough. The voices and thoughts that tell me that I'm not good enough, not capable enough ring around my mind at night don't even matter. I am a flawed human being, and I'm not good enough. But that's why I need a savior. I don't have to go through the busy seasons of life alone. I don't have to wonder if I'm not doing enough. Because as long as I am doing what God leads, that is more than enough.

And at the end of the day, I can truly say that my strength is found in my weakness. It is only because I am weak and incapable that God can fully take the reins and turn what I think isn't enough into something amazing.

You are My All in All- By Dennis Jernigan

You are my strength when I am weak

You are the treasure that I seek

You are my all in all

Seeking You as a precious jewel

Lord, to give up I'd be a fool

You are my all in all

Jesus, Lamb of God

Worthy is Your name

Jesus, Lamb of God

Worthy is Your name

Taking my sin, my cross, my shame

Rising up again I bless Your name

You are my all in all

When I fall down You pick me up

When I am dry You fill my cup

You are my all in all

Jesus, Lamb of God

Worthy is Your name

Jesus, Lamb of God

Worthy is Your name

Jesus, Lamb of God

Worthy is Your name

Jesus, Lamb of God

Worthy is Your name

Worthy is Your name

Worthy is Your name
