Billy Graham was one of the greatest Bible teachers the world has ever seen, but he was also passionate about sharing the gospel. He believed that anyone could share the gospel no matter where they were in their walk with Christ. The quotes gathered below can be encouraging to those who have the desire to be proactive and spread God's Word, but that is only if you let the Lord use these words to impact you.
If you can, I would even suggest writing down one of the quotes and sticking it to your mirror this week. That is what I am going to do with the second quote. At the end of the quotes, there is more encouragement for you specifically.
Quotes by Billy Graham
You don’t have to know much when you come to Christ. You don’t have to know the whole Gospel. You don’t have to know the Bible. You just come like you are.
Come as you are. This applies to sharing the gospel as well. Don't worry about being perfect, just take the first step. If we were perfect, we wouldn't need Christ. He is the one who works through us to grow our faith and our ability to share the Word. Your only job is to walk according to His word.
Matthew 11:28 – “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

We aren’t only called to become Christians; we are called to be Christians.
Being a Christian is active, not passive.
James 2:17- "In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
An atheist only sees a hopeless end to life. But the Christian sees an endless hope.
We have a promise and a hope for the future. Don't you want someone else to have that hope?
1 Peter 1:3 – “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead"
To suffer for the faith is not a penalty; it is a privilege.
We need to have this mindset more. Whenever it gets hard don't quit, use that to keep pushing into God's will.
Philippians 1:29- "For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake."
Now the Gospel of Christ has no meaning unless it is applied to our fellow man who hurts and is in need.
Jesus said go out into all nations, not sit on the gospel and keep it to ourselves. Yes, Jesus physically healed, but even greater was the spiritual healing He brought.
Matthew 28:19- "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
God doesn’t comfort us to make us comfortable, but to make us comforters.
We want to be like Jesus who was not passive, but active in being empathetic towards others and reaching out a healing hand.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4- "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
Becoming a Christian is the work of a moment; being a Christian is the work of a lifetime.
After this last quote, it can seem intimidating. Maybe you are even wondering if God is even calling you. It can be easy to feel overwhelmed and like you're not good enough. But I must ask, was anyone that God used in the Bible actually ready? Are there any good enough? No. He uses anyone that wants to be used.
All you need is God. If you’re totally surrendered and totally dedicated and say, “Lord, here’s my hand with all I’ve got,” God has a place for you. He can use you.
