Is singing worship music at church your thing? Do you love to feel close to God? Well, it turns out, worship music is even more powerful than I had originally thought. For the longest time, I didn't understand why singing was so important. What was even harder for me to grasp was why music could bring people to God when all the Bible teachings in the world could not. Now I realize that I wasn't thinking about the words I had been singing. They had been empty, and I hadn't been thinking of the meaning behind those words. In this article, I am going to share with you three reasons singing can share the gospel.
1.Music is Loved Around the World
No matter where you are on earth, music is loved. People love to be swept away by beautiful songs that have meaning behind them. Missionaries use music when they are trying to share the gospel with people who have a hard time understanding the messages they preach. But when they hear the worship songs, sometimes they are able to understand the meaning of Christ through the song lyrics. The door to understanding other Bible teachings is now open thanks to the power of worship songs.
2.Music Connects People to God
When you sing at church, and are actually paying attention to what you are saying, can you feel yourself drawing closer to God? Singing is an important part of what we will be doing in Heaven, but here on earth, it feels like we are getting a taste of that glory.
"Sing to the Lord, all the earth! Tell of His salvation from day to day." 1 Chronicles 16:23.
Even people that think they are ok with God, or don't even know Him, can feel the connection between Christians and Christ during worship. If they doubt that God is real, worship is an amazing way for them to feel God and get to know Him better.

3.Worship is Where People can See Truth Clearly
Words are powerful. They can help us see things we wouldn't notice on our own. When people who keep pushing God away are in the presence of worship, it is hard for them to see the lyrics as anything than what they are saying. It is hard for them to make excuses or misinterpreted the words. Many songs sing about the freedom they could have if they except Christ's forgiveness, and maybe for the first time, they realize just how broken we all are. It is impossible for people to come to Jesus if they can't see that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). And music can be one of the best ways they can see that.
So, songs are important in sharing the gospel, but what are some songs that clearly show the gospel message? Here are two songs below, that you can potentially use when sharing the gospel.
Amazing Grace
This song was written by John Newton and is one of the best songs to share with someone that is feeling overwhelmed by the guilt of their sins. It sings about God's amazing grace, that He gives us redemption and salvation even though we don't deserve it. It can show people the freedom they can have through Christ.
How Great Thou Art
This hymn resonates with how great our God really is. He created everything and He has complete control of everything that happens. If someone is doubting if God could forgive their sins because they seem so great, this song is an amazing way to show them otherwise. God is powerful, and Jesus's death whipped away all of our sins if we only believe in him.

I really like "King of Kings", it's a beautiful song and I like how it sums up the Gospel.
